LI.FI

LI.FI is an . It compares many and exchanges and picks the best route for your transfer. Many wallets and apps build it in. Jumper, a website for regular users that started inside LI.FI, runs on it.

Official website

How it works

  1. 1LI.FI asks the bridges and exchanges it works with for price quotes.
  2. 2It builds a route. This can be a swap on your starting network, then a bridge, then another swap on the destination network.
  3. 3You approve the transaction, and LI.FI’s contracts call the chosen services for you.

Trust model

You are trusting whichever bridge your route uses, plus LI.FI’s own contracts. You also give those contracts a , permission to move your tokens, so their security matters too.

Strengths

  • One place to compare many bridges.
  • Includes Bitcoin routes through partners such as Chainflip.

Limitations

  • Adds an extra layer of contracts on top of the bridge itself, which is one more thing that could fail.
  • How good the routes are depends on which services are connected at the time.
