Avalanche to Solana bridge
There is no official bridge between Avalanche and Solana. Most people use a fast bridge such as Mayan, Relay or deBridge, which swaps AVAX or USDC on Avalanche into SOL, USDC or another Solana token. Circle CCTP moves real USDC between the two networks.

Short answer
An Avalanche to Solana bridge takes coins from your 0x wallet on the Avalanche C-Chain and delivers them to a Solana address in a wallet such as Phantom or Solflare. The two networks use different address formats, wallets and token standards, so a bridge or swap service has to carry the value across.
The Avalanche Bridge in Core only connects Avalanche with Ethereum. For Solana, the usual choice is a fast bridge like Mayan, Relay or deBridge, or an aggregator such as LI.FI that compares them. For USDC, Circle CCTP burns USDC on Avalanche and mints real USDC on Solana.
| Most common route | Fast bridge (Mayan, Relay, deBridge) |
|---|---|
| Official bridge | None for this route |
| Real USDC | Circle CCTP |
| Fees on Avalanche paid in | AVAX |
| Needed on arrival | A little SOL for fees |
Why this route is difficult
The Avalanche C-Chain works like Ethereum, with 0x addresses and ERC-20 tokens. Solana has its own address format, wallets and token standard. AVAX does not exist on Solana by itself, so you either swap it into a Solana token or receive a wrapped copy created by a bridge.
For USDC, Circle issues the coin on both networks. CCTP burns USDC on Avalanche and mints the same amount on Solana, so you do not depend on a pool or a wrapped token.
Possible approaches
1Intent-based swap
A solver sends you SOL, USDC or another token on Solana and is repaid from your deposit on Avalanche.
Trade-offFast and can change one token into another. The price depends on how many solvers compete.
2Issuer burn-and-mint
Circle CCTP burns USDC on Avalanche and mints real USDC on Solana.
Trade-offReal USDC with no pool limits, but only for USDC.
3Lock-and-mint wrapped token
Wormhole Portal locks your token on Avalanche and mints a wrapped version of it on Solana.
Trade-offWorks for many tokens, but the wrapped token depends on the bridge behind it and may be hard to trade.
Options compared
| Option | You get | Typical time | Cost | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Intent-based bridge | SOL, USDC and popular Solana tokens | Seconds to a few minutes | Markup built into the quote | Most transfers, including AVAX to SOL |
| Circle CCTP | Real USDC | Standard transfer, already fast from Avalanche | Network fees, plus any app fee | Moving USDC |
| Aggregator | Depends on the chosen route | Same as the chosen bridge | Bridge price, plus any app fee | Comparing quotes in one place |
Working solutions
| Solution | You receive | Custody / verification | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mayan | SOL, USDC and many tokens | Uses Wormhole | Supports Avalanche and Solana. Offers a gas on destination option. |
| Relay | SOL, USDC and popular tokens | Solver pays you | Supports Avalanche. Fast for common coins. |
| deBridge | Most Solana tokens | Orders, no pools | Swap and transfer in one step. |
| Circle CCTP | Real USDC | Circle confirms | USDC only. Used inside many bridge apps. |
| Wormhole Portal | Wrapped tokens | Wormhole Guardians | Use portalbridge.com. Check that the wrapped token trades on Solana. |
| LI.FI | Depends on route | Same as chosen bridge | Compares several bridges for you. |
How to move Avalanche to Solana
These steps use an intent-based bridge such as Mayan, Relay or deBridge, or an aggregator like LI.FI. A USDC transfer through an app built on Circle CCTP works in a similar way: you sign on Avalanche and receive USDC on Solana.
- 1
Get both wallets ready
You need an EVM wallet such as Core, MetaMask or Rabby with your coins on the Avalanche C-Chain, plus a little AVAX for the fee. You also need a Solana address from a wallet such as Phantom or Solflare.
- 2
Choose the route and token
Open the bridge, pick Avalanche as the source and Solana as the destination, and choose what you want to receive. If your Solana wallet has no SOL, receive SOL or turn on a gas on destination option if the bridge offers it.
- 3
Check the address and the quote
A Solana address does not start with 0x. If the recipient field shows a 0x address, fix it before you sign. Compare quotes by the amount you will receive, because the fee is built into the price.
- 4
Sign and follow the transfer
Approve the token if your wallet asks, then confirm the bridge transaction and pay the fee in AVAX. Follow the order in the bridge app, then check your Solana wallet or Solscan. Do not send a second time while the first order is still open.
Fees and timing
Fees on the Avalanche C-Chain are paid in AVAX and are usually small. Solana fees are paid in SOL and are a fraction of a cent.
The main cost is the bridge fee or the markup in the price. Fast bridges build it into the quote, so compare the amount you receive. CCTP has no pool or markup of its own, but apps that use it may add a fee.
A Wormhole route that delivers a wrapped token can leave you with a coin that trades thinly on Solana. Swapping it later can cost more than the bridge fee itself.
Common mistakes
- Arriving on Solana with USDC or another token but no SOL, so you cannot move or swap it.
- Pasting a 0x address as the recipient. Solana needs its own address format.
- Receiving a wrapped Wormhole token when you wanted native USDC or SOL. Check the mint address on Solscan before you trade it.
Before you transfer
- Plan for SOL on Solana. Receive SOL, use gas on destination, or hold some SOL there already.
- Decide what you want on Solana first: SOL, USDC or another token. That decides the route.
- For large amounts, send a small test first, and keep a little AVAX on Avalanche for fees.

Use an app that supports Circle CCTP, or a fast bridge. CCTP burns USDC on Avalanche and mints real USDC issued by Circle on Solana.
Yes. A fast bridge such as Mayan, Relay or deBridge can take AVAX on Avalanche and pay you SOL on Solana in one step.
Yes. Fees on Solana are paid in SOL. If you arrive with only USDC, you cannot move it until you have some SOL, so receive a little SOL or use a gas on destination option.
