Arbitrum to BNB Chain bridge
Leaving Arbitrum for BNB Smart Chain is quick and has plenty of options: pool bridges like Stargate, cross-chain swaps like deBridge, Relay and Symbiosis, or an exchange. Circle CCTP does not reach BSC, so USDC and USDT arrive as Binance-Peg tokens paid from a bridge's own liquidity. You pay gas in ETH on Arbitrum and need BNB on BNB Chain afterwards.

Short answer
An Arbitrum to BNB Chain bridge takes tokens from Arbitrum One and delivers tokens on BNB Smart Chain, also called BSC. Your 0x address is the same on both, so the wallet you use on Arbitrum, such as MetaMask or Rabby, can receive on BSC. You pay the fee on Arbitrum in ETH, and you need BNB for gas once your tokens land.
Leaving Arbitrum through a bridge or swap does not involve the long wait you may have read about. That delay only applies to the native Arbitrum bridge when you withdraw to Ethereum. The bigger difference is the tokens: USDC on Arbitrum is issued by Circle with 6 decimals, while USDC and USDT on BNB Chain are Binance-Peg tokens with 18 decimals. Circle CCTP does not support BNB Smart Chain, so a bridge, swap or exchange pays you the BSC version.
| Circle CCTP for USDC | Does not reach BNB Smart Chain |
|---|---|
| Stablecoins arriving on BSC | Binance-Peg USDT and USDC, 18 decimals |
| Native withdrawal wait | Only for withdrawals to Ethereum |
| Gas | ETH on Arbitrum, BNB on BNB Chain |
| Needed on arrival | A little BNB |
Why this route is difficult
Arbitrum is a layer 2 that settles on Ethereum. BNB Smart Chain is a separate chain with its own validators. Neither can check the other's state, so every transfer relies on a third party: a bridge's verifiers, a solver or relayer, or an exchange.
The stablecoins are separate too. Circle USDC on Arbitrum cannot be burned and minted on BSC, because CCTP does not support BNB Smart Chain. On BSC, USDC and USDT are Binance-Peg tokens. A bridge takes your Arbitrum token and pays you the BSC token from its own liquidity.
Possible approaches
1Liquidity pool bridge
You deposit a stablecoin into a pool on Arbitrum, and a pool on BNB Chain pays you.
Trade-offWorks well for stablecoins. The fee can rise when the pools are unbalanced.
2Cross-chain swap
A solver or relayer takes your token on Arbitrum and sends you the same or another token on BNB Chain.
Trade-offHandles ETH to BNB in one step. The fee sits inside the quote, so compare a few services.
3Exchange as a bridge
Deposit from Arbitrum One, trade if you want, then withdraw on BNB Smart Chain.
Trade-offFamiliar if you have an account, but the exchange holds your funds for a while and may ask for identity checks.
Options compared
| Option | You get | Typical time | Cost | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Liquidity pool bridge (Stargate) | Stablecoins on BSC, depending on pools | Minutes | ETH gas plus a pool and messaging fee | Moving stablecoins |
| Cross-chain swap (deBridge, Relay, Symbiosis) | BNB, USDT, USDC and other BSC tokens | Seconds to minutes | Fee and spread inside the quote | Turning ETH into BNB |
| Centralized exchange | Tokens the exchange supports on BEP20 | Depends on the exchange | Withdrawal fee, plus a trading fee if you convert | People who already use an exchange |
Working solutions
| Solution | You receive | Custody / verification | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stargate | Stablecoins, depending on pools | LayerZero verifiers (DVNs) | Has stablecoin pools on BNB Chain. Check which token it pays on BSC. |
| deBridge | BNB, USDT, USDC and more | Orders filled by solvers | One step from ETH to BNB, or from USDC to USDT. |
| Relay | BNB, USDT and other tokens | Relayers | Fast swaps between EVM chains. |
| Symbiosis | Many BSC tokens | Relayer network | Cross-chain swaps into BNB Chain. |
| LI.FI | Depends on route | Same as chosen bridge | Compares several bridges and swaps for you. |
| Centralized exchanges | Tokens the exchange lists on BEP20 | Exchange holds funds | Deposit on Arbitrum One and withdraw on BEP20. |
How to move Arbitrum to BNB Chain
These steps cover a cross-chain swap through deBridge, Relay or an aggregator such as LI.FI. The wallet and network checks are the same if you use Stargate.
- 1
Keep ETH on Arbitrum
Your wallet needs a little ETH on Arbitrum One to pay for the approval and the transfer. Your address stays the same on BNB Chain, so there is nothing new to set up.
- 2
Open the bridge from a bookmark
Scam sites copy popular bridges and show up in search ads. Use a saved link, then set Arbitrum as the source and BNB Chain as the destination.
- 3
Add some BNB to what you receive
If your BSC address has no BNB, receive BNB, or take a small part of the amount as BNB, so you can move your tokens later. Check the amount you get after fees.
- 4
Sign and check on BscScan
Approve the token if asked, then confirm the transfer. When it completes, search your address on BscScan. If a token does not show in your wallet, add it with the contract address from BscScan.
Fees and timing
Gas on Arbitrum is paid in ETH and is usually low, even with an approval step.
The main cost is the bridge fee or the spread in a swap quote. Stargate pricing depends on pool balances. Compare what you will receive on BNB Chain in two or three services before you send.
After arrival, every action on BNB Chain costs BNB. Without it, your USDT or USDC on BSC stays where it is.
Common mistakes
- Arriving on BNB Chain without BNB, so you cannot move or swap the tokens you received.
- Picking the wrong network at an exchange. Deposit on Arbitrum One, and withdraw on BNB Smart Chain (BEP20).
- Copying raw amounts between chains. USDC has 6 decimals on Arbitrum but 18 on BNB Chain, so the same amount looks very different in contracts and scripts.
Before you transfer
- Have a little BNB waiting on BNB Chain, or take part of the transfer as BNB.
- Decide which token you want on BSC. Bridges may pay USDT, USDC or BNB depending on their liquidity.
- If you write scripts or read raw contract data, account for 18 decimals on BSC stablecoins.
Frequently asked questions
No. CCTP does not support BNB Smart Chain. A pool bridge, a cross-chain swap or an exchange can take your USDC on Arbitrum and pay you Binance-Peg USDC or USDT on BSC.
No. The 7-day wait only applies to the native Arbitrum bridge when you withdraw to Ethereum. Bridges and swaps to BNB Chain usually finish in seconds to minutes.
Yes. Cross-chain swap services such as deBridge, Relay and Symbiosis take ETH on Arbitrum and pay BNB on BNB Chain. LI.FI compares them for you.
The value is the same. USDC and USDT on BNB Chain use 18 decimals, while USDC on Arbitrum uses 6. Wallets show the right balance, but raw contract values have 12 more digits.
