Solana to Sui bridge
No official bridge links Solana and Sui, and Sui Bridge only connects Sui with Ethereum. The usual way across is a cross-chain swap app such as Mayan or NEAR Intents, which takes SOL or USDC on Solana and pays out SUI, USDC or another Sui coin. Circle CCTP also carries real USDC from Solana to Sui.

Short answer
A Solana to Sui bridge moves value from a Solana wallet such as Phantom or Solflare to a Sui address. The two networks share no address format or token standard, so a bridge or swap service always sits in the middle. You need a Sui wallet to receive, for example Slush, or Phantom, which also supports Sui.
Mayan supports both chains and can turn SOL into SUI in one order, and aggregators such as LI.FI can find that route for you. Wormhole Portal sends your token as a wrapped copy, so SOL arrives as wrapped SOL on Sui. For USDC, Circle CCTP burns it on Solana and mints it on Sui, and both chains run the current version of CCTP.
| Most common route | Swap app (Mayan, NEAR Intents) |
|---|---|
| Official bridge | None for this route |
| USDC over CCTP | Current CCTP, works with Sui |
| Fees on Solana paid in | SOL |
| Needed on arrival | A little SUI for gas |
Why this route is difficult
Solana and Sui are both non-EVM chains, but they have nothing in common at the protocol level. Solana uses its own programs and token accounts. Sui uses Move, an object model and 0x addresses. SOL does not exist on Sui by itself, so it is either swapped into a Sui coin or locked and minted as a wrapped version.
Circle issues USDC on both chains, and CCTP joins them by burning on one side and minting on the other. Solana and Sui both run the current version of CCTP. From Solana you can use a standard transfer or, where the app offers it, Fast Transfer.
Possible approaches
1Cross-chain swap
Mayan or NEAR Intents takes SOL or USDC on Solana and pays out SUI, USDC or another coin on Sui.
Trade-offOne order, and the token can change on the way. The rate varies by app, so compare quotes.
2Issuer burn-and-mint
Circle CCTP burns USDC on Solana and mints the same amount of real USDC on Sui.
Trade-offNo pool or slippage, but USDC only.
3Lock-and-mint wrapped token
Wormhole Portal locks your token on Solana and mints a wrapped copy on Sui.
Trade-offCovers many tokens, but the copy relies on Wormhole and may have few places to trade on Sui.
Options compared
| Option | You get | Typical time | Cost | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cross-chain swap app | SUI, USDC and popular Sui coins | Depends on the app and route | Fee built into the quote | Turning SOL into SUI |
| Circle CCTP | Real USDC on Sui | Standard or fast mode, the app shows the estimate | Network fees, plus any app fee | Moving real USDC |
| Wormhole Portal | Wrapped tokens on Sui | Depends on the route | Network fees, plus any app fee | Tokens with no swap route |
Working solutions
| Solution | You receive | Custody / verification | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mayan | SUI, USDC and many tokens | Uses Wormhole | Supports Solana and Sui. Can swap SOL into SUI in one order. |
| Circle CCTP | Real USDC | Circle confirms | Current CCTP on Solana and Sui. Standard or fast mode from Solana. |
| Wormhole Portal | Wrapped tokens | Wormhole Guardians | Use portalbridge.com. SOL arrives as wrapped SOL on Sui. |
| NEAR Intents | Depends on route | Solvers fill your request | Send to a one-time deposit address. Fee is in the quote. |
| LI.FI | Depends on route | Same as chosen bridge | Compares routes from Solana to Sui, including Mayan. |
How to move Solana to Sui
These steps follow a cross-chain swap through Mayan, either on its own site or through an aggregator such as LI.FI. You sign on Solana and receive coins on Sui.
- 1
Set up a Sui address
Create a Sui wallet, or add Sui in a wallet that supports it, such as Phantom. Copy the Sui address. Keep some SOL in your Solana wallet for the network fee.
- 2
Pick what you receive
Choose Solana as the source and Sui as the destination. If you hold no SUI yet, receive SUI, or take part of the amount as SUI, so you can pay gas later.
- 3
Check the recipient
A Sui address starts with 0x and has 64 characters after it. A Solana address never starts with 0x. If the field shows your Solana address or a short EVM address, replace it before you sign.
- 4
Sign and track
Approve the transaction in your Solana wallet. Track it in the app and on Solscan, then confirm arrival on Suiscan. Wait for the first order to finish before you try again.
Fees and timing
Solana network fees are paid in SOL and usually come to a fraction of a cent.
Most of what you pay is the app fee or the spread in the quote. Compare the amount you will receive on Sui across a couple of apps. CCTP itself has no pool spread, but the app on top may charge a fee.
On Sui, every later action costs a small amount of SUI. If you receive only USDC, you cannot move it until you get some SUI.
Common mistakes
- Arriving on Sui with USDC or a wrapped token but no SUI, so you cannot move or swap it.
- Sending to your Solana address or an EVM address instead of your Sui address.
- Getting wrapped SOL from Wormhole when you wanted SUI. Check the coin type on Suiscan and swap it on Sui if needed.
Before you transfer
- Get a Sui address before you start, and make sure it is the one in the recipient field.
- Plan for gas on Sui. Receive some SUI, or hold a little there already.
- For USDC, check that your app offers CCTP to Sui. If it does not, a swap app is the simpler choice.
Frequently asked questions
No. Sui Bridge only connects Sui and Ethereum. From Solana, people use Mayan, NEAR Intents, Wormhole Portal or an aggregator such as LI.FI.
A swap app such as Mayan can pay you USDC on Sui. Apps built on Circle CCTP also work: they burn USDC on Solana and mint real USDC on Sui.
Yes. Mayan and NEAR Intents can take SOL on Solana and pay SUI on Sui in a single order.
Yes. Every transaction on Sui pays gas in SUI. If you only receive USDC or a wrapped token, you need some SUI before you can move it.
