EVM chain

Avalanche Bridge: how to bridge to and from Avalanche

Avalanche runs Ethereum-compatible smart contracts, so almost every bridge and aggregator supports it. Routes to other EVM chains are cheap and fast; routes to chains without smart contracts depend on native swap protocols or custodians.

Quick answer

Services supporting Avalanche: 21. Most used in our guides: LI.FI, Relay, Circle CCTP, deBridge. Direct transfers possible to: Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Base, TRON, Hyperliquid.

Popular services

  • LI.FI

LI.FI is an aggregator. It compares many bridges and exchanges and picks the best route for your transfer. Many wallets and apps build it in. Jumper, a website for regular users that started inside LI.FI, runs on it.

  • Relay

Relay moves and swaps coins between networks, usually in seconds. You say what you want, and a solver pays you on the destination network right away from its own funds. The solver settles up with Relay afterwards.

  • Circle CCTP

CCTP is run by Circle, the company that issues USDC. It moves real USDC between networks: Circle destroys the coins on one side and creates the same amount on the other. You end up with genuine USDC, not a wrapped copy.

  • deBridge

deBridge lets you swap tokens between Ethereum-style networks, Solana and other chains such as TRON in one step. You place an order saying what you give and what you want back. A taker (a solver who fills orders) pays you on the destination network from its own funds.

Alternative ways to move funds

Move stablecoins instead

Converting to USDC or USDT and moving it through the issuer’s own transfer protocol often has the widest coverage and the least slippage. Swap back on the destination if you need another asset.

Two steps through a well-connected chain

If no single route exists, first move to a chain with many connections (Ethereum, Solana or a major rollup), then on to the destination. It costs two fees, but each step uses a well-tested route.

Through a centralised exchange

Deposit on Avalanche, trade if needed, and withdraw on the destination network. Simple and often cheap, but the exchange holds your funds in between and needs identity verification.

Wrapped tokens

A custodian or federation holds the original coin and issues a token on another chain. Convenient for DeFi, but the token is only as safe as whoever backs it.

How transfers work on Avalanche

  • Liquidity bridges and intent networks deliver funds in seconds to minutes by fronting the money on the destination chain.
  • Stablecoin issuers (Circle CCTP for USDC, USDT0 for USDT) burn on Avalanche and mint on the destination, so you receive the official token.
  • Aggregators compare many bridges at once and are a good starting point when you are unsure.

What to watch out for

  • The same token can exist in several wrapped versions. Check the contract address you receive.
  • You need a little of the native gas token on the destination chain to use the funds.

Frequently asked questions

How can I bridge from Avalanche?

21 of the projects we review support Avalanche, including Across, Stargate, Wormhole. We have 6 route guides that involve Avalanche.

Which major chains can I reach from Avalanche directly?

Directly: Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Base, TRON, Hyperliquid. Other destinations need two steps or an exchange.

What if there is no bridge for my Avalanche route?

Use a centralised exchange, take two steps through a well-connected chain such as Ethereum or Solana, or move a stablecoin instead and swap on arrival.
