deBridge lets you swap tokens between Ethereum-style networks, Solana and other chains such as TRON in one step. You place an order saying what you give and what you want back. A taker (a who fills orders) pays you on the destination network from its own funds.

How it works

  1. 1You create an order on the starting network. It says which token you give and which token you want on the destination network.
  2. 2A taker fills your order on the destination network using its own money.
  3. 3Your locked funds on the starting network are then released to the taker. This only happens after deBridge’s own messaging confirms the fill, and that message is checked by deBridge’s .

Trust model

You are trusting deBridge’s validators to confirm fills honestly. Your funds are not kept in a big shared pool. They are locked only while your order is open.

Strengths

  • No large pools of money sitting around for hackers to target.
  • Direct swaps between Ethereum-style networks and Solana in a single transaction.

Limitations

  • Your order only goes through if a taker is willing to fill it at the quoted price.
  • No native Bitcoin support.
