BNB Chain to Polygon bridge
There is no official bridge between BNB Smart Chain and Polygon PoS, but many services connect them. Pool bridges like Stargate, cross-chain swaps like deBridge, Relay and Symbiosis, and exchange withdrawals all work. USDT and USDC on BSC are Binance-Peg tokens and Circle CCTP does not run on BSC, so you receive Polygon tokens from a bridge, a swap or an exchange. You pay gas in BNB on BSC and in POL on Polygon.

Short answer
Both networks are EVM networks, so the same 0x address works on BNB Smart Chain and Polygon. MetaMask, Rabby and most EVM wallets support both.
Polygon PoS uses POL for gas. Polygon has two kinds of USDC: native USDC issued by Circle and the older bridged USDC.e. Many apps now expect native USDC.
| Official bridge | None for this route |
|---|---|
| USDT and USDC on BSC | Binance-Peg tokens, 18 decimals |
| Circle CCTP for USDC | Not on BNB Smart Chain |
| USDC on Polygon | Native USDC and older USDC.e |
| Gas | BNB on BNB Chain, POL on Polygon |
| Same address on both | Yes, 0x format |
Why this route is difficult
No route links the two networks directly. Every option relies on a third party: pools, solvers, relayers or an exchange.
Tokens on BSC are Binance-Peg versions, so they are swapped or paid out from pools rather than moved one to one.
Possible approaches
1Pool bridge
Stargate takes your stablecoins into a pool on BNB Chain and pays from its pool on Polygon.
Trade-offSimple for stablecoins, but limited by pool size and the tokens it holds.
2Cross-chain swap
deBridge, Relay or Symbiosis swap and move in one step, such as BNB to POL or USDT to USDC.
Trade-offWorks with many tokens, but the quote includes a fee or spread.
3Centralized exchange
Deposit on BEP20 and withdraw on the Polygon network.
Trade-offOften cheap, but needs an account and the exchange holds your funds.
Options compared
| Option | You get | Typical time | Cost | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pool bridge | Stablecoins | Usually a few minutes | Small fee plus network fees | USDT and USDC |
| Cross-chain swap | POL, USDC and many tokens | Usually seconds to a few minutes | Fee or spread in the quote | Swapping BNB or other tokens on the way |
| Centralized exchange | Tokens the exchange lists on Polygon | Depends on the exchange | Withdrawal fee | People with an exchange account |
Working solutions
| Solution | You receive | Custody / verification | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stargate | Stablecoins, depending on pools | LayerZero verifiers (DVNs) | Stablecoin pools on BNB Chain and Polygon. Check which token it pays on Polygon. |
| deBridge | POL, USDC, USDT and more | Orders filled by solvers | Swap and transfer in one step, such as BNB to POL or USDC. |
| Relay | POL, USDC and other tokens | Relayers | Fast cross-chain swaps between EVM networks. |
| Symbiosis | Many Polygon tokens | Relayer network | Cross-chain swaps from BNB Chain. |
| LI.FI | Depends on route | Same as chosen bridge | Compares several bridges for you. |
| Centralized exchanges | Tokens the exchange lists on Polygon | Exchange holds funds | Deposit on BEP20 and pick Polygon when withdrawing. |
How to move BNB Chain to Polygon
Move from BNB Chain to Polygon with a cross-chain swap
- 1
Check your balances
Keep some BNB on BNB Chain for fees. Your 0x address is the same on Polygon.
- 2
- 3
Choose what to receive
For USDC, pick native USDC. If you have no POL, receive some POL or pick a route that adds gas.
- 4
Confirm and check
Check the amount you will receive, confirm in your wallet and then check your Polygon balance.
Fees and timing
BNB Chain fees are usually a few cents.
Bridges include their fee and the Polygon fee in the quote. Compare the amount you will receive.
Polygon fees are low, but every later transaction needs some POL.
Common mistakes
- Receiving USDC.e when the app you use expects native USDC on Polygon.
- Picking Polygon zkEVM or another network instead of Polygon PoS.
- Arriving on Polygon without POL for gas.
Before you transfer
- Try a small amount first.
- Binance-Peg tokens use 18 decimals on BSC, so do not compare raw amounts with Polygon tokens.
- If a token does not show in your wallet, add the right contract on Polygon.
Frequently asked questions
Native USDC in most cases. The older USDC.e still exists, but many apps now expect native USDC.
POL. Receive a little POL or pick a route that adds it for gas.
