Liquidity bridge
Gas.zip
Gas.zip is a refuel bridge: it sends small amounts of a network's native coin so you can pay fees there. One deposit can be split across many destination networks at once; the service lists over 300 destinations.
Official websiteHow it works
- 1You send the native coin of a supported network, for example ETH on Arbitrum, to Gas.zip's deposit address. One deposit must be worth between $0.25 and $50.
- 2With the deposit you choose one or more destination networks and the receiving address, which can differ from yours.
- 3Gas.zip pays out the native coin of each chosen network from its own reserves, usually within seconds.
Trust model
You trust the Gas.zip operator to make the payout. The amounts are small and the funds are at risk only for a few seconds, but nothing on-chain forces the payout.
Strengths
- Solves the common problem of arriving on a new network with no coins to pay fees.
- One transaction can top up many networks.
- Very wide network coverage.
Limitations
- Only for small amounts: $50 maximum per deposit.
- Sends only native gas coins, not tokens such as USDC.
- The payout depends on the operator.
