Optimism to Solana Bridge
There is no official bridge between Optimism and Solana. Native USDC moves via Circle CCTP, while Mayan, deBridge, Relay and Across handle fast transfers with a one-step swap. Solana uses a different address format and SOL for gas, so you need a separate Solana wallet.

Short answer
Optimism runs on Ethereum technology, while Solana works differently. A Solana address looks different and does not start with 0x, so your Optimism address will not work there. You need a wallet that supports Solana, such as Phantom or Solflare.
Fees on Solana are paid in SOL. Without a little SOL you cannot move the received tokens any further.
| Direct official bridge | None |
|---|---|
| Native USDC | Via Circle CCTP |

| Gas on Solana | SOL |
Why this route is difficult
Possible approaches
1Intent bridge with swap
You deposit tokens on Optimism and a solver pays out the token you want on Solana.
Trade-offFast and one step, but you trust the bridge's contracts and verification.
2Circle CCTP
Native USDC is burned on Optimism and minted on Solana after Circle's attestation.
Trade-offNative USDC with no wrapped versions, but USDC only and dependent on Circle.
Options compared
| Option | You get | Typical time | Cost | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mayan, Relay or Across | USDC, SOL or another Solana token | Usually under a minute | Fee included in the quote | Fast transfer with a one-step swap |
| Circle CCTP | Native USDC on Solana | Seconds to about 20 minutes depending on mode | Gas and a possible fast-mode fee | Moving USDC |
| Wormhole Portal | A wrapped token on Solana | About 15-20 minutes | Gas on both networks | Tokens with no other route |
Working solutions
| Solution | You receive | Custody / verification | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mayan | USDC, SOL and others | Solver auction, Wormhole verification | One-step swap. |
| Circle CCTP | Native USDC | Circle attestation | USDC only. |
| deBridge | Many tokens | deBridge validator network | Can deliver the token you want directly. |
| Relay | SOL, USDC and others | Solver pays out | Fast for popular tokens. |
| Across | USDC and others | UMA optimistic verification | Fast relayer payouts. |
| Wormhole | Wrapped tokens | Wormhole Guardians | For tokens with no other route. |
How to move Optimism to Solana
Bridging USDC or ETH with a fast bridge
- 1
Set up a Solana wallet
Create or open a wallet that supports Solana and copy the address. Some apps connect both wallets at once.
- 2
- 3
Choose the token and gas
Receive USDC or SOL directly. If you have no SOL, turn on gas delivery or take part of the amount in SOL.
- 4
Check the address and confirm
Verify the Solana address, sign the transaction on Optimism and check the balance in your Solana wallet.
Fees and timing
The Optimism network fee is paid in ETH and is usually small, and Solana fees are tiny. The main difference is the bridge fee and swap rate.
If you bridge ETH, the bridge usually swaps it into SOL or USDC. Compare the final amount across several bridges.
Common mistakes
- Pasting a 0x address into the Solana field. It will not work.
- Expecting native ETH on Solana. ETH exists there only as a wrapped token; the native coin is SOL.
- Ending up on Solana without SOL for fees.
Before you transfer
- Send a small amount first if you are using the route for the first time.
- Check the Solana address before confirming.
- Open bridges only via their official addresses.
