Wanchain
Wanchain runs WanBridge, one of the oldest cross-chain bridges, and the XFlows swap service on top of it. It links Bitcoin, Cardano, Solana, Sui, TRON and most large EVM networks, and is the main bridge into Cardano DeFi.
Official websiteHow it works
- 1You pick the asset and the two networks in the WanBridge or XFlows app and send the funds to a bridge address or contract.
- 2Storeman nodes, operators who stake WAN, watch the deposit and jointly sign the release on the other network with threshold cryptography.
- 3On WanBridge you get the bridged token, for example wrapped BTC on Cardano. XFlows can swap it into a native coin on arrival.
Trust model
You trust the Storeman group. A threshold of these staked operators must sign every transfer, so no single node can move funds, but together they control the bridged assets.
Strengths
- Links networks that few others connect, such as Bitcoin, Cardano and TRON, with EVM chains, Solana and Sui.
- Long track record: running since 2018.
- XFlows can deliver native coins instead of wrapped tokens on many routes.
Limitations
- Assets that pass through WanBridge often arrive as wrapped tokens with thinner liquidity.
- The supported asset list differs for each pair of networks. Check the route in the app first.
- Also supports networks that BridgeRadar does not cover yet, such as Blast, Sonic, Celo, Kava and X Layer.
