Garden Finance

Garden swaps real Bitcoin to and from other networks. Solvers fill your order, and the trade is settled as an atomic swap: either both sides happen or neither does. No custodian ever holds your coins.

How it works

1You ask for a quote, and solvers compete to fill it.
2You and the solver each lock your coins in a special time-locked contract (an HTLC) on your own network.
3When a secret code is revealed, both sides complete at once. If the swap does not finish, you can take your coins back after the time lock runs out.

Trust model

There is no custodian and no validator group. You rely only on the time-locked contracts and on each network working normally. A solver can fail to fill your order, but it cannot take your coins. In 2025, one of Garden's own solvers was hacked and lost about $11 million. Garden said user funds were not affected.

Strengths

Real BTC swaps where nobody holds your coins in between.
Garden does not issue its own wrapped token.

Limitations

Supports only a few networks and coins.
If a swap fails, your coins stay locked until the time lock runs out.
