TON to Ethereum Bridge
The official TON Bridge to Ethereum closed for good on 1 September 2026. For most people, TON to ETH now means a cross-chain swap like Symbiosis or NEAR Intents, or an exchange. For USDT there is also USDT0, which sends native USDT from TON to Ethereum for 0.03%.

Short answer
For most people a direct cross-chain swap is the best way. Symbiosis and NEAR Intents take Toncoin or USDT on TON from your own wallet and pay real ETH or stablecoins to your Ethereum address. No exchange account needed.
The official TON Bridge, which wrapped Toncoin into a token on Ethereum, no longer works. The TON Foundation shut it down on 1 September 2026. If you only move USDT, Tether's USDT0 app sends native USDT from TON to Ethereum for a 0.03% fee plus network costs. TON's site now calls the coin Gram, also known as Toncoin.
An exchange makes sense if you already keep money there or you move a large amount. TON deposits to exchanges usually need a memo (also called a comment or tag). Forgetting it is the most common way people lose time on this route.
| Official TON Bridge | Closed on 1 September 2026 |
|---|---|
| Usual way | Swap from your TON wallet |
| Direct options | Symbiosis, NEAR Intents, USDT0 (USDT only) |
| Native coin name | Gram, also known as Toncoin |
| Usual time | A few minutes |
| Exchange deposits | Memo usually needed |
| Need ETH on arrival | Yes, for tokens |
Why this route is difficult
TON and Ethereum are built very differently. On TON, one action can turn into several transactions that run one after another. On Ethereum, a transaction either fully works or fully fails in one go.
A bridge has to connect those two styles. Ethereum cannot cheaply read TON, and TON cannot read Ethereum. So bridges use relayers or groups of validators that watch one network and act on the other. That means you trust them.
Tokens work differently too. On TON, tokens like USDT are called jettons, and each holder gets a separate small wallet contract for each one. Ethereum uses ERC-20 tokens. A bridge has to translate between the two and handle the case where a TON transfer bounces back.
TON once had official bridges built in at the protocol level, for Ethereum, BNB Chain and Polygon. The TON Foundation closed them for good on 1 September 2026. So this route now depends on outside services, exchanges and, for USDT, on USDT0.
Possible approaches
1Cross-chain swap protocol
A protocol with money on both networks swaps your TON coins for Ethereum coins in one go.
Trade-offOne step, but depends on the protocol's relayers and pool size.
2Intent-based swap
You send Toncoin or USDT on TON, and a solver sends you what you asked for on Ethereum.
Trade-offNo exchange account. You rely on the service, which paused for about half a day after an exploit in October 2026.
3USDT0 Legacy Mesh
Tether's USDT0 app moves native USDT from TON to Ethereum through a hub on Arbitrum, secured by LayerZero.
Trade-offReal USDT on both sides and a fixed 0.03% fee, but it moves USDT only.
4Centralized exchange
Deposit TON, sell it, and withdraw ETH or a stablecoin on Ethereum.
Trade-offSimple with lots of trading, but the exchange holds your coins and deposits need the right memo.
Options compared
| Option | You get | Typical time | Cost | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cross-chain swap protocol (Symbiosis) | Real ETH or Ethereum tokens | A few minutes | Fee + markup, in the quote | Toncoin or USDT to ETH |
| Intent-based swap (NEAR Intents) | ETH, USDC or USDT | A few minutes | Markup in the quote | Price check against Symbiosis |
| Centralized exchange | ETH or stablecoins | Minutes to an hour | Trading + withdrawal fee | Large amounts, existing account |
| USDT0 Legacy Mesh | Native USDT on Ethereum | A few minutes | 0.03% + network fees | USDT only, not Toncoin |
Working solutions
| Solution | You receive | Custody / verification | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Symbiosis | ETH and some Ethereum tokens | Relayers and pools | Takes Toncoin and USDT on TON. Check your exact pair is offered. |
| NEAR Intents | ETH, USDC, USDT | Solvers, settled on NEAR | Takes Toncoin and TON tokens like USDT. Paused for about half a day after an exploit on 1 Oct 2026, then resumed. |
| Rango Exchange | Supported Ethereum tokens | Depends on route | Compares TON routes for you. |
| Centralized exchanges | ETH or stablecoins | Exchange holds funds | Most trading for large amounts. Memo needed on deposit. |
| USDT0 | Native USDT on Ethereum | LayerZero plus a 3-of-3 attestation set | USDT only. 0.03% fee plus network costs. |
How to move TON to Ethereum
These steps show a direct swap from a TON wallet to Ethereum with Symbiosis or NEAR Intents. It happens in one go and pays out real ETH. Sending USDT on TON instead of Toncoin can get a better price if you want stablecoins.
- 1
Get both wallets ready
On TON, use Tonkeeper, MyTonWallet or the self-custody wallet in Telegram. On Ethereum, have MetaMask or Rabby ready. Keep a little Toncoin in the TON wallet for fees, even if you send USDT.
- 2
Connect and pick the route
Open the swap app and connect your TON wallet. Choose Toncoin or USDT on TON as what you send, and ETH or a stablecoin on Ethereum as what you get.
- 3
Enter your Ethereum address
Paste your Ethereum address, which starts with 0x. TON addresses start with EQ or UQ, so they look very different. Check the first and last few characters before you continue.
- 4
Check the quote
Compare how much you get across Symbiosis and NEAR Intents for the same swap. Check the minimum amount and the price impact, which grows for bigger Toncoin swaps.
- 5
Confirm in your TON wallet
Approve the transaction in your wallet. TON handles transfers in several small steps, so your wallet may say "sent" before everything is finished.
- 6
Follow it on Tonviewer and Etherscan
Find your transaction on Tonviewer, then watch your Ethereum address on Etherscan. If nothing arrives after the promised time, contact the service's support with your TON transaction link.
Fees and timing
TON network fees are small, usually a few cents in Toncoin. Most of what you pay is the swap markup and any protocol fee, both included in the quote. Sending USDT on TON is often cheaper when you want stablecoins, because no extra conversion is needed.
Ethereum is the expensive side. The service pays gas to send you funds and builds that into the quote. Ethereum gas in 2026 is often cents to a dollar or two, but rises when the network is busy. On an exchange you pay a trading fee and a fixed withdrawal fee instead.
TON confirms in a few seconds, so the sending side is rarely the slow part. The time depends on how fast the protocol's relayers or solvers act, and for exchanges, how fast they credit deposits and approve withdrawals.
Common mistakes
- Sending Toncoin to an exchange without the deposit memo or comment. The coins usually arrive, but they are not credited until support matches them by hand.
- Looking for the old TON Bridge to get ETH. It closed on 1 September 2026, and even before that it only gave wrapped Toncoin, not ETH.
- Sending USDT on TON with no Toncoin left for fees, so the transaction gets stuck in your wallet.
- Pasting a TON address (starting with EQ or UQ) into the Ethereum address field, or the other way round.
- Trusting any "TON" token on Uniswap without checking its contract address.
- Receiving USDC or USDT on Ethereum with no ETH for gas.
Before you transfer
- The official TON Bridge closed on 1 September 2026. Any site that still offers it under that name is not the official bridge.
- TON wallets need a little Toncoin for fees, even when you send other tokens.
- TON deposits to exchanges usually need a memo or comment.
- Quotes differ between routes. Compare Symbiosis and NEAR Intents before sending larger amounts.
- Make sure you enter an Ethereum 0x address, not a TON address.
- Check service status before sending. Swap services sometimes pause after incidents.
- Keep a little ETH in the receiving wallet if you choose stablecoins.
Frequently asked questions
Not anymore. The TON Foundation shut down its legacy Token Bridge on 1 September 2026. For USDT, Tether's own USDT0 app moves native USDT to Ethereum. For Toncoin to ETH, use a cross-chain swap or an exchange.
Swap Toncoin for real ETH with Symbiosis or NEAR Intents from your TON wallet, or sell TON on an exchange and withdraw ETH on the Ethereum network.
Yes. The USDT0 app at usdt0.to sends native USDT from TON to Ethereum for a 0.03% fee plus network costs. Symbiosis, NEAR Intents and exchanges work too. Keep a little Toncoin for the TON fee.
Yes. TON's official site now calls the native coin Gram and notes it was also known as Toncoin. Many apps and exchanges still show it as TON.
Usually yes. Most exchanges use one shared TON deposit address and find your deposit by its memo or comment. Without it, you have to ask support to credit it by hand.
Not directly. Tonkeeper sends on TON, and MetaMask receives on Ethereum. Use a cross-chain swap that takes TON from Tonkeeper and pays out to your MetaMask address.
Direct swaps usually take a few minutes. TON confirms in seconds, so most of the wait comes from the service sending your payout, or on exchanges, from processing your withdrawal.
