Canonical bridge
Linea Bridge
The official bridge between Ethereum and Linea, the ZK rollup built by Consensys. Deposits take about 20 minutes; withdrawals to Ethereum take about 2 to 12 hours.
Official websiteHow it works
- 1You connect a wallet on the Linea bridge page, choose the token and the direction, and confirm the transaction.
- 2For deposits, the message is relayed to Linea and the funds can be credited automatically. USDC moves through Circle's CCTP instead of a wrapped token.
- 3For withdrawals, Linea must publish a zero-knowledge proof on Ethereum first. After that, the funds are claimed on Ethereum automatically or with one manual transaction.
Trust model
Withdrawals are accepted only after Ethereum checks a validity proof of Linea's state, so you rely on Linea's proof system and contracts rather than on a group of signers. Linea's operator can still upgrade the contracts and currently runs the only sequencer.
Strengths
- Official route with no extra fee beyond network gas.
- No challenge week: withdrawals finish in hours, not days.
- Native USDC through CCTP, with a fast mode that takes seconds.
Limitations
- Withdrawals still take hours; a liquidity bridge is faster.
- A manual claim on Ethereum may be needed, which costs Ethereum gas.
- Connects only Ethereum and Linea.
